Sidi Abdel Wahed Meknassi Mosque 2

About

Sheikh Abdul Wahid al-Muknasi the Moroccan (coming from Morocco) completed the construction of this mosque in Tripoli in the Mamluk era, in 1306 AD. The Moroccan influences are clearly visible in the historical writing in the Mosque and in the small minaret, which is considered the smallest of all minarets of the old city.
